We exhibit in the house of Štěpánek Netolický

We are happy to announce that you can now find us in the historical centre of Třeboň, where we exhibit in the newly renovated house of Štěpánek Netolický. In the former merchant's shop of this beautiful Renaissance building, an ARTshop has been created, where you can see and buy artworks from glass to paintings and prints, to jewellery, textiles and other design products of artists and craftsmen.

About Štěpánek Netolický

Štěpánek Netolický was one of the two key personalities who, thanks to his magnificent pond-building work, gave the Třeboň landscape its characteristic character. He served the Rožmberk family as a fischmaster. He was involved in fish breeding, but above all in the construction of new ponds. During his lifetime he built 7 large ponds and more than 40 smaller ones. His most famous work, however, remains the Golden Sewer, a 45-kilometre-long gully that connects the Třeboň pond system. What makes it unique is the extremely small gradient, which is less than 10 cm in places and can make it seem as if the water is flowing the other way.

About the house of Štěpánek Netolický

In 2015, the house underwent a complete reconstruction and today it is the centre of the Třeboň Pond Heritage. The Golden Sewer is beautifully presented in the form of a permanent interactive exhibition on the ground floor of the house. The house also offers original sales exhibitions such as linocuts by Zbyněk Hraba and Petr Palma.

If you have a trip to Třeboň, make sure to stop by, the House of Štěpánek Netolický is definitely worth a visit!
